Buy the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 if you want more output, more outlets, faster USB-C and a faster UPS switchover; buy the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 if the lightest, simplest 1 kWh unit matters most. Both hold 1,024 Wh of LiFePO4 and run your devices for the same time; the differences are in what they can power at once and how they charge.

Jackery Explorer 1000 v2: light and plain
At 23.8 lb the Jackery is the lighter of the two, and its 1,500 W inverter with a 3,000 W surge covers what most people plug into a 1 kWh unit: a fridge, a coffee maker, a TV, lights and phones. It has three AC outlets, two 100 W USB-C ports, one USB-A port and a car outlet.
The trade-offs show up at the edges. 1,500 W is tight for a microwave plus a fridge, since a microwave sold as 1,000 to 1,200 W of cooking power typically draws about 1,500 W on its own. Solar goes in through Jackery's DC8020 ports, so third-party panels need an adapter. Jackery's manual gives a UPS switchover within 20 ms, and its cycle rating is 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity, a lower end point than Anker's 80%. The standard warranty is 3 years, extended to 5 only when you buy from jackery.com.
One setting to change on day one: Jackery's energy-saving mode is on by default and, according to its manual, turns outputs off after 12 hours if the AC load stays at 25 W or less. That can cut a CPAP or a fridge between cycles.
Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2: more of everything except lightness
The Anker adds 500 W of continuous output, two more AC outlets and a third USB-C port, and its USB-C ports deliver up to 140 W each. Anker publishes a 10 ms UPS switchover, quotes 49 minutes to full with UltraFast mode switched on (1,200 W standard charging otherwise), accepts up to 600 W of solar through a standard XT60 input, and backs it with a 5-year warranty. It weighs 24.9 lb.
Neither unit takes extra batteries. If you think you'll want more than 1 kWh later, look at an expandable model such as the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus; we compare it with the C1000 Gen 2 in a separate guide.
Runtime on the same devices
| Load (typical daily use) | Explorer 1000 v2 | C1000 Gen 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Top-freezer fridge | 13–16 h | 13–16 h |
| CPAP with humidifier (AC adapter) | 12–15 h | 12–15 h |
| Wi-Fi router + laptop (USB-C) | 8.1–10 h | 8.1–10 h |
Estimates from our published formula. Neither maker publishes standby draw, so both use the same default.
Who should buy which
- Buy the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 if you'll carry it often, you run one or two devices at a time, and you're happy with Jackery's own solar panels or an adapter.
- Buy the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 if you'll run a microwave with other loads, power a computer or CPAP through outages, charge several laptops, or want the longer warranty wherever you buy it.
- Buy neither if you need a fridge plus Wi-Fi for a full day; that takes about 2 kWh. The sizing quiz checks your exact devices.
What people actually ask
Which lasts longer, the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 or the Anker C1000 Gen 2?
Neither, on the same devices. Both are sold as 1,024 Wh LiFePO4 units, so runtime is effectively the same. Jackery's own spec table also lists 1,070 Wh from its cell rating; we use the lower, advertised figure.
Can the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 run a refrigerator?
Yes. It supplies 1,500 W continuously with a 3,000 W surge, enough to start a typical full-size fridge, which needs around 1,200 W for a moment. Turn off its energy-saving mode first: Jackery's manual says it switches outputs off after 12 hours if the AC load stays at 25 W or less.
Does the Jackery 1000 v2 work as a UPS?
Yes. Jackery's user manual says it switches over within 20 ms; Anker lists 10 ms for the C1000 Gen 2. Both suit a CPAP or router; for a desktop computer, the faster switchover is the safer choice.
Which one charges faster?
Anker quotes 49 minutes to full with UltraFast mode switched on in the app. Jackery quotes about 1.6 hours with standard charging and about 50 minutes with Emergency Super Charge, also switched on in its app. Both treat the fastest mode as an occasional option.
Can I use any solar panel with the Jackery?
Jackery uses its own DC8020 solar inputs, so panels from other brands usually need an adapter cable. The Anker uses a standard XT60 input. Check the panel's voltage against each unit's input range either way.
The bottom line
Same battery, different priorities. The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is the lighter, plainer unit; the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 gives you more output, outlets and USB-C power, a faster UPS switchover and a longer standard warranty for 1.1 lb more.
