Buy the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus if you want the most 240 V output and room to grow to multi-day backup; buy the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 if a faster UPS switchover, a lighter unit and a slightly bigger starting battery matter more. Both are 120/240 V home-backup units with an L14-30 outlet for a transfer switch, and both need a licensed electrician to connect to your house.

EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3: the lighter one with the faster switchover
The DELTA Pro 3 holds 4,096 Wh and supplies 4,000 W at 120/240 V, with an 8,000 W surge. Its outlets are four 20 A household receptacles, a TT-30 for an RV, a NEMA 6-20 at 240 V and an L14-30 at 120/240 V, the one an electrician wires to a transfer switch or inlet. EcoFlow lists a 10 ms UPS switchover and UL 9540 listing. It weighs 113.54 lb and rolls on wheels.
EcoFlow rates the battery for 4,000 cycles to 80%. Solar goes in through two inputs: up to 1,600 W at 30–150 V and up to 1,000 W at 11–60 V, 2,600 W in all. Extra batteries take it to 12,288 Wh. X-Boost lets heating loads up to 6,000 W run at reduced power. 12 V power comes from DC5521 and Anderson ports rather than a confirmed car socket. EcoFlow's 5-year warranty is 3 years plus 2 more when you register in the app. For whole-circuit backup, EcoFlow's Smart Home Panel 2 works with the DELTA Pro 3; retailers list professional installation as required.
Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus: more output and a much higher ceiling
The F3800 Plus holds 3,840 Wh and supplies 6,000 W at 120/240 V, with a 9,000 W surge (another Anker page says 10,200 W; we use the lower). It has six 120 V outlets, a TT-30 and an L14-30, and a 20 ms UPS switchover. Two solar inputs take up to 1,600 W each at 11–165 V, 3,200 W in all. Up to six BP3800 batteries take it to 26,880 Wh, more than twice the EcoFlow's maximum.
Its wall charging is 1,800 W from a standard outlet, and Anker says it charges at up to 6,000 W through its 240 V Home Power Panel or a generator via the Generator Input Adapter. The Home Power Panel is a 12-circuit backup load center for indoor installation; Anker also sells a 10-circuit manual transfer switch. The battery is rated for 3,000 cycles to 80%, and the warranty is 5 years. The trade-off is weight: Anker pages give 132.3 to 136.7 lb, and we use the lower figure.
How do they connect to a house?
Both units connect the same basic way: the L14-30 outlet feeds a power inlet box with an interlock, a manual transfer switch, or the brand's smart panel. Each of these keeps the house disconnected from the grid while the battery runs it. All of them are permanent electrical work, so hire a licensed electrician and pull a permit. The electrician also sets up the neutral-ground bonding for the switch you choose. Never use a double-male cord or plug either unit into a wall or dryer outlet to feed the house.
How long does each run the same devices?
| Load (typical daily use) | DELTA Pro 3 | F3800 Plus |
|---|---|---|
| French-door fridge | 31–38 h | 29–35 h |
| Fridge + chest freezer + Wi-Fi + 4 LED bulbs | 19–24 h | 18–22 h |
| Fridge + Wi-Fi + ½ hp sump pump | 18–23 h | 17–21 h |
| Fridge + ½ hp 240 V well pump | 26–33 h | 25–31 h |
| Fridge + freezer + Wi-Fi + lights, fully expanded | 2.4–3 days | 5.3–6.6 days |
Estimates from our published formula, using the same default standby draw for both large units. The last row uses each system's maximum listed storage (12,288 Wh vs 26,880 Wh). Run your own circuits in the runtime calculator.
When does the quiz engine prefer each one?
Five home-backup situations, each requiring 240 V, run through the engine the quiz uses. Extra batteries are allowed because both units stay put or roll.
| Situation | Engine prefers | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A full day: fridge, sump pump, Wi-Fi, lights | DELTA Pro 3 | Scores 61 vs 56 (EcoFlow vs Anker) |
| Same, but the internet must not drop | DELTA Pro 3 | Scores 65 vs 57 (EcoFlow vs Anker) |
| A full day, then solar every day | DELTA Pro 3 | Scores 77 vs 74 (EcoFlow vs Anker) |
| Three days without recharging | F3800 Plus | DELTA Pro 3: Runs your devices for about 20 h; you asked for 3 days. |
| Add a ½ hp 240 V well pump | F3800 Plus | DELTA Pro 3: Start-up surge too high: needs about 8,665 W; it peaks at 8,000 W. |
Who should buy which
- Buy the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus if a 240 V well pump shares the station with a sump pump or other motors, want to run several big loads at once, or plan to build toward several days of backup with extra batteries and a large solar array.
- Buy the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 if you work from home on a desktop computer, want the more manageable unit to move, or expect one day of essentials on a single battery to be enough most of the time.
- Buy neither if you only need a fridge, Wi-Fi and lights; a 2 kWh unit does that without any house wiring. Our home backup guide sorts the options by outage type, and the sizing quiz checks your devices.

What people actually ask
Can the DELTA Pro 3 or F3800 Plus power my whole house?
Not a typical whole house. Each can feed selected 120 V and 240 V circuits through a transfer switch or the maker's smart panel, installed by a licensed electrician. Central air, an electric range or an electric water heater will usually exceed what either can supply for long.
Do I need an electrician to connect them to my house?
Yes. Any connection to house wiring, whether an inlet box with an interlock, a manual transfer switch or a brand smart panel, needs a licensed electrician and usually a permit. Never plug a power station into a wall or dryer outlet to feed the house; that backfeeds the grid and can electrocute utility workers.
Which one can run a 240 V well pump?
Both can on paper, with different margins. A ½ hp 240 V well pump plus a French-door fridge needs about 7,570 W for a moment at start-up: inside the DELTA Pro 3's 8,000 W surge with little to spare, and the F3800 Plus's 9,000 W (another Anker page says 10,200 W; we use the lower) with more. Add a running sump pump and the combined start-up rises to about 8,700 W, which only the F3800 Plus covers. Check your pump's locked-rotor or starting amps before relying on either.
How much battery can each system grow to?
The DELTA Pro 3 takes EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 Extra Batteries up to 12,288 Wh. The F3800 Plus takes up to six Anker BP3800 batteries for 26,880 Wh.
Which is better on solar?
The F3800 Plus accepts up to 3,200 W across two 1,600 W inputs at 11–165 V. The DELTA Pro 3 accepts 2,600 W: 1,600 W on a high-voltage input (30–150 V) and 1,000 W on a low-voltage input (11–60 V).
Do they work as a UPS?
Both have a backup mode. EcoFlow lists a 10 ms switchover for the DELTA Pro 3 and Anker lists 20 ms for the F3800 Plus. Most routers, CPAP machines and TVs ride through either; a desktop computer is more likely to stay on with the faster switchover.
The bottom line
For a single day of essentials with the fastest switchover, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is the tidier system. For more 240 V power, more start-up margin for a well pump, or storage that grows to 6.2 days of fridge, freezer and Wi-Fi, the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus is the stronger base. Either way, budget for a transfer switch or smart panel and a licensed electrician. Compare every 240 V model in the comparison chart.
