For most buyers the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is the better 2 kWh unit: it can add a second battery, has an RV-style TT-30 outlet, takes more solar, publishes a full-charge time and carries a 5-year standard warranty. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max matches it on capacity, 2,400 W output and a 10 ms UPS switchover; its own edges are a higher boost mode for heating appliances and a higher surge figure that appears only in EcoFlow's marketing copy.

EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max: a fixed 2 kWh for wall-charged backup

The DELTA 3 Max holds 2,048 Wh and supplies 2,400 W continuously, enough for a fridge, a sump pump or a window air conditioner, and it switches over in 10 ms in UPS mode. It has four AC outlets, three 100 W USB-C ports, one USB-A port and a car outlet, and charges from the wall at up to 1,800 W, reaching 80% in 68 minutes. It weighs 44.8 lb.

Where it falls short is growth and solar. Our sources list no extra battery for it, and EcoFlow's page is ambiguous on the point, so plan on 2 kWh for life; the DELTA 3 Max Plus is the expandable version. Solar input tops out at 500 W against the Anker's 800 W, so a cloudy stretch costs it more. EcoFlow doesn't state a cycle rating on the page we used, and the 4,800 W surge appears in marketing copy rather than the spec table. X-Boost lets heating appliances up to 3,400 W run at reduced power; it doesn't help motors start. The warranty is 3 years, plus 2 when you register in the EcoFlow app.

Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2: same size, more ways to use it

The C2000 Gen 2 has the same 2,048 Wh and 2,400 W, with a 4,000 W surge and a 10 ms UPS switchover. Beyond that it adds options. One Anker BP2000 battery doubles it to 4,096 Wh. A TT-30 outlet (limited to 20 A) plugs straight into an RV or travel trailer. Solar input goes up to 800 W through an XT60i port at 11–60 V, and it also accepts 800 W alternator charging. Anker lists a full wall charge in 58 minutes at 1,800 W.

Its three USB-C ports deliver up to 140 W but are output-only. Anker rates the battery for 3,000 cycles to 80% (one block of its page says 4,000; we use the lower figure), and the warranty is 5 years. It weighs 41.7 lb.

When does the quiz engine prefer each one?

We ran five situations through the engine the quiz uses. The C2000 Gen 2 comes out ahead in 4 of 5. With the same capacity and output, the gap comes from the Anker's published full-charge time, cycle rating, longer standard warranty and, for a full day, its extra battery.

Who should buy which

  • Buy the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 if you might want two days of a fridge later, you have an RV or trailer, you plan to charge from solar or your vehicle, or you want the longer standard warranty.
  • Buy the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max if 2 kWh charged from the wall is all you'll ever need, you already use EcoFlow's app and accessories, or you want X-Boost for a heating appliance just above 2,400 W.
  • Buy neither if you need 240 V for a well pump or dryer circuit; that takes a home-backup unit such as those in our DELTA Pro 3 vs F3800 Plus guide. A top-freezer fridge runs about 28 h on either one; check your full list in the sizing quiz.

Which model does the quiz pick for these situations?

Across the whole catalog, not just these two. Open any row in the quiz and swap in your own devices.

Picks come from the same engine as the quiz, recalculated whenever our catalog changes.

What people actually ask

Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max expandable?

Not according to our catalog sources: EcoFlow's page for the DELTA 3 Max is ambiguous and no extra battery is listed for it, so we treat it as fixed at 2,048 Wh. The DELTA 3 Max Plus is the expandable EcoFlow at this size. The Anker C2000 Gen 2 takes one BP2000 battery for 4,096 Wh.

Which one runs a fridge longer?

Neither. Both hold 2,048 Wh, so a typical top-freezer fridge runs about the same time on either. Only the Anker can double that with its extra battery.

Can either one run a window air conditioner?

Yes, both have the power for a typical 8,000 BTU window unit, which needs around 1,600 W for a moment to start. Running nonstop, 2 kWh lasts about four to five hours; the scenario below counts about eight hours of cooling across a night. Neither runs one all day.

Which charges faster?

Anker lists a full charge in 58 minutes at 1,800 W. EcoFlow lists 0–80% in 68 minutes, also at 1,800 W, and no full-charge time. On solar, the Anker takes up to 800 W and the EcoFlow 500 W.

Is the EcoFlow warranty 3 or 5 years?

EcoFlow advertises 5 years, made up of 3 years standard plus 2 more when you register the unit in the EcoFlow app. Anker lists 5 years for the C2000 Gen 2.

The bottom line

Same battery size, same output, same UPS time. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 does more with it: an extra battery, a TT-30 outlet, more solar input, a published full-charge time and a 5-year warranty. Choose the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max only if you're certain 2 kWh from the wall is enough.
